VI. Old Business: Kent Sherry informed the Board that he had installed the second light for the main entrance.
Tom Prendergast informed the Board that he had confirmed with our insurance carrier that the Board was fully protected under our insurance policy.
Kent Sherry reported that he has been unable to research a method to increase the water level of the large pond within the nature preserve to better facilitate effort to clear out the algae and other invasive vegetation. Water is slowly flowing into the nature preserve out of the pond at the entrance to Deerfield North. Further investigation found that no water was flowing out of the Dowden Park Pond and therefore what must be flowing through the nature preserve has to be spring water.
Richard Rabe reported that he had walked the pathways in the nature preserve and found them to be in good condition with the exception of a few branches in the way here and there. There is very little growth. Kent Sherry suggested this could be as a result of the tree canopy shading out the sunlight.
